The town of Benalmadena stretches from the Port up the hill to the town of Benalmadena and Arroyo de la Miel. The Port of Benalmadena is a beautiful busy port with amazing pleasure yachts, cruise boats, fishing boats and even novelty pirate ships. There are shops here as well as Mexican, Chinese, Italian, English, Irish and Spanish bars and restaurants which provide for a great mix of nationalities. The port of Benalmadena is a beautiful place to wander around by day or by night with souvenir shops that exceed the tackiness of what we have come to expect worlwide. These shops are filled with hand-crafted woodwork and culturally significant trinkets.
Business-wise Benalmadena is a great choice if you are looking to purchase a cafe bar or restaurant bar with all ages in mind. There is a great night life here, the norm being the people spend the evenings eating and drinking in the bars and restaurants around the town and port before heading to the 24 hour square, which has late bars, night clubs and adult entertainment that goes on late into the night. Many young people travel from Fuengirola and Torremolinos to spend the night in Benalmadena as , while not as luxurious or city-like as Marbella, it has arguably, outside of Malaga city, the best night life along between Calahonda and Malaga.
